Standard CMC PT-130 Installation Information
The CMC PT-130 is predrilled to fit standard B.I.A. outboard motor mounting hole configurations. If your boat and motor are not pre-drilled, some may be required. For standard application it is important to consider that your motor will be set back from the transom by 6" This allows you to mount your motor higher than you can when it is mounted to the transom.
The information below is sourced from the owner's manual found at the bottom of the page. It is recommended to consult the full manual before installation.
- You will need to lift the motor in some fashion with a properly rated lifting device.
- For proper outboard motor lifting procedures check your motor manual or with your dealer.
- Attach the lifting device to the motor and make sure the motor is supported safely
- Remove the four nuts that mount the motor to the transom of the boat
- Swing the motor away form the boat taking care not to damage any wires or cables
- Mount the PT-130 on the transom with the tilt high enough for clearance of motor and transom when fully tilted
- Fasten the unit to the transom with nuts previously used for the motor, making sure the flat washer and lock washer are before the nut
- The PT-130 is designed for 130 HP and smaller motors. It mounts standard bolt patterns using the pre-drilled holes and included hardware.
